چکیده

The properties of stable gold (Au) nanoparticle dispersions can be tuned to alter their activity towards biomembrane models. Au coating techniques together with rapid electrochemical screens a phospholipid layer on fabricated mercury (Hg) platinum (Pt) electrode have been used moderate the dispersions. Screening results for were intercalibrated large unilamellar vesicle (LUV) interactions using carboxyfluorescein (CF) leakage assay. All characterised size, by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Commercial high quality home synthesised are monolayer active whereas Ag not. If nanoparticles coated thin then particle/lipid interaction is suppressed. assays lipid align LUV same. decreasing size increasing dispersion concentration showed stronger monolayer/bilayer interaction. Treating cell culture medium incubation in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solutions removes

Stable dispersions of azide functionalized ferromagnetic metal nanoparticles.

Ferromagnetic nanoparticles are covalently modified in order to enhance the dispersion stability as well as the antifouling properties. Insertion of an azide moiety allows "click"-reaction of a relevant tag molecule. This and the high saturation magnetization of the presented nanocomposite offer a promising platform for magnetic biosensors.

Synthesis of noble metal nanoparticles and their non-ordered superstructures.

This article highlights our recent work concerning the synthesis of metal nanoparticles and their non-ordered superstructures. After a short introduction, the basic synthetic procedures are explained for the nanoparticles used for the assemblies. Furthermore, a fabrication method is itemized for very monodisperse platinum nanoparticles in aqueous solution ranging in diameter from 10 to 100 nm s...

Biomimetic Synthesis of Gelatin Polypeptide-Assisted Noble-Metal Nanoparticles and Their Interaction Study

Herein, the generation of gold, silver, and silver-gold (Ag-Au) bimetallic nanoparticles was carried out in collagen (gelatin) solution. It first showed that the major ingredient in gelatin polypeptide, glutamic acid, acted as reducing agent to biomimetically synthesize noble metal nanoparticles at 80°C. The size of nanoparticles can be controlled not only by the mass ratio of gelatin to gold i...
